So for tips on how to find your prefect fit, take a look at the post below. I'll link it here or you can just read on.
I find that the easiest and best way to pick out your best pair of sunglasses is to actually go to a store with a wide selection so that you can see how they look on your face up close and personal. Later, once you have a few types of frames you like and the measurements of those frames, you can always order more online.
When you get to the store this system is your holy grail. It's going to work kind of like a tournament bracket for your best pair of glasses.
- Grab 2 pairs of glasses and try them both on and decide right away which one to keep and which one to put back. Don't pick that pair up again. It's already out and if you didn't like it then you won't like it later.
- Keep the winning pair from the first round and grab another pair that you like. Try them both on and decide which of those two to keep. It might be the pair you liked at first, or you might have found a pair you like better. Either way, don't go back to the one you put down. Think of those as cheaters, drop them and don't look back.
- Take the winning pair from that round and compare them to another pair from the wall that you think you might like and see which pair is the winner for that round.
- After a few times doing this you will probably have been holding one great pair in your hand for a few rounds, comparing it to other pairs and seeing just how perfect they are. Those are the ones.
I'm definitely a lover of cheap sunglasses so my favorite places to pick them up are usually places like Target, T.J. Maxx, little shops along the beach when we go on vacation, or even gas stations on road trips. Don't worry, I won't link you up to any gas station sunglasses but I do recommend trying it some time, a new pair of shades can really invigorate a long drive.
As a side note, my profile picture is from one of the first days I was able to walk out of my bedroom into the sunshine on our deck and grabbing that hat and those wild red sunglasses made me feel like I was part of the world again. If you're suffering today or even just feeling a little down, I dare you to grab your craziest pair of sunglasses and head out! A new season is coming, I hope you enjoy every second of it!
At the bottom of the post, there's a link to listen to in the sunshine. Enjoy!
